At the Bottom of the Garden: The Fairy Journals of Nadia Davis-Taylor
August 4, 2025 at 3:43:32 PM

horror, immersive narrative, podcast, audio, fairies, unreliable narrator
A series of (largely house-cleaning-and-moving related) events culminates in Aidan Moss's acquisition of a journal apparently written by his paternal great, great aunt when she was a child. The journal is full of stories about fairies. Stories she said were entirely true. In At the Bottom of the Garden, Aidan reads those stories aloud, accompanied by his commentary on the journal writer's (and by extension, his family's) life in a small English village. But the more fairy tales he commits to audio, the deeper he digs into the past, the more obvious it becomes that there are things Aidan isn't telling us. Things about his family, the village, and Aidan himself. Things that have, all the same, found their way into his life, and his podcast.
