Instead of socializing, Syslicato chose to live fixing legacy systems. Technology that nobody understands but everyone needs running for sustaining old, vital infrastructure. One day, the intergovernmental organization HPL calls him offering comfortable employment at Asfalis, their dusty Pacific wonderland where CRTs and supercomputers coexist alongside WWII comms, underground computing mazes and colorful nighttime glows you shouldn't think about. Worried? Whatever happens, the Asfalis Board of Tourism will be happy to show the tourist spots of our proud city. Come visit!

The main story seems to take place between two main Twitter accounts, @Syslicato (legacy system specialist) and @VisitAsfalis (board of tourism) with irregular back-and-forth between them, but Instagram and SoundCloud accounts have also been discovered, the former with exclusive images and information and the latter uploading short soundscapes of the city. Text, images, audio and video have already been used in storytelling.

To complicate matters, Syslicato seems evasive about reporting all he sees and official Asfalis media is clearly sanitized and censored. A Discord server was also created to discuss events. A current-day and past timeline can be constructed starting at mid-20th century to now and random minor factoids of the city have already come back as more than just whimsical worldbuilding, such as the unclear Monolith building, other HPL-controlled locations and intelligent machines. Smaller, repeated details such as mentions of family, flowers and trash are also noted. For whatever reason, the Asfalis Board of Tourism DESPERATELY wants people to visit the city.
